# How to keep an AI video on brand

> To keep an AI video on brand, save your colours, people, places and tone once, reuse them in every scene, and check each still frame. Add your logo and typeface afterwards, because generated scenes draw them badly.

## Why AI video looks generic by default

A generator that knows nothing about you draws the average of what it has seen. That average is a bright office, a smiling person and a blue accent. Brand fit comes from constraints: these colours, these people, this place, this way of speaking.

Consistency is a second problem. Each generation starts fresh, so a series drifts unless the same inputs are reused. The fix for both problems is the same. Save the brand once, reuse it every time, and check the result before it moves.

## What "on brand" means in a generated video

A brand guide for print covers colour, logo and typeface. Video adds three elements that do as much to make a company recognisable.

- **Colour.** The palette of the scene follows your brand colours.
- **People.** The same colleagues or personas appear, with the same faces.
- **Place.** Scenes are set in your own premises, or a version of them.
- **Voice.** The narration uses your words and speaks to your audience.
- **Logo and typeface.** Your mark and lettering appear exactly as designed.
- **One visual style.** Every video shares one look, from lighting to level of detail.

A generator handles the first four well when it is given the right inputs. The fifth belongs in the edit, as the next section explains. The sixth is fixed in GetReelCom, which uses one style for every video.

## What a generator can hold, and what belongs in the edit

| Element | In a generated scene | Where to handle it in GetReelCom |
|---|---|---|
| Colour | Followed as a palette; exact shades shift with light | Primary, Secondary and Accent on the Brand tab |
| People | Held across scenes when each has an avatar | Characters, with one generated avatar each |
| Place | Held when the venue has a photo and a description | Venues |
| Voice | Written from your saved text; editable per scene | Descriptions, Brand values, each audience's Language style |
| Visual style | One style for every video | Fixed: cinematic 3D animation |
| Logo | Not drawn | Add it in your own editor, as an overlay or end card |
| Typeface and titles | Not drawn | Add them in your own editor |

GetReelCom keeps all text and logos out of generated scenes on purpose. Image generation misspells small lettering and distorts marks. A scene without a logo is better than a scene with a wrong one. Your exact logo file, placed in the edit, is always correct.

Colours work differently. GetReelCom gives each colour a job: the primary colour dominates, the secondary supports, and the accent appears in small touches.

## How to set it up, step by step

1. Open Brand in the left sidebar. If GetReelCom read your website, the colours and descriptions are already filled in.
2. Check the three colours. Each has a swatch and a hex code. Correct any that the import picked wrong.
3. Tighten Short description, Long description and Brand values. The tone of the narration comes from these fields.
4. Open Characters and generate an avatar for each recurring person. Add Always and Never rules for clothing, such as "always wears a navy polo".
5. Open Venues and give your main location a photo and a description.
6. Open Audience and fill in Language style, so the narration speaks the way your customers do.
7. Write the brand into each scene text: "Sam, in the navy polo, greets a customer at the oak front desk."
8. After downloading, add your logo and any titles in your own editor.

Text edits are free. Avatars and venue images cost 1 credit each. The Brand fields are explained in [Brand colours, logo and style](/help/company-story/brand-colours-logo-and-style/).

## A worked example

_[Video: The last of three scenes for Triagen. All three share one warm cream and gold palette and one mascot. — /park/tri/path.mp4]_

The clip above closes a three-scene video for Triagen. The three scenes take place in three rooms: a living room, an office and a hall. They still read as one video, for two reasons. The palette is the same warm cream and gold throughout. The mascot, Tri, has the same shape and colour in every scene. All three scenes are on the [examples page](/examples/).

Your own series works the same way. The colours, the cast and the venue are saved once. Each new scene then starts from the same inputs. The tenth video matches the first because nothing was set up again.

## Where generated video drifts, and what to do

Generated video does not follow a brand guide as exactly as a designer does. Three kinds of drift are common.

| What drifts | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Exact colour shades | Colours guide the scene; light and materials shift them | Judge the palette in the frame, not the hex value |
| Faces | A character without an avatar is drawn anew each time | Generate one avatar per person and do not regenerate it |
| Clothing and props | Details not written down are invented per scene | Put fixed items in the character's Always rules |

The still frame is the checkpoint for all three. GetReelCom draws one frame for 1 credit before any video is made. You approve it, or you describe what to change and redraw. The video is then generated from the approved frame.

## Brand kits compared

AI video tools handle brand in two ways. Presenter tools apply a brand kit as a layer of logo, colours and fonts on templates. Generation tools build the brand into the picture.

| | Brand kit as a layer | Brand in the scene |
|---|---|---|
| What it controls | Logo placement, colours and fonts on templates | The palette, people and place of the scene |
| Logo | Placed exactly, from your file | Not drawn; added in your editor |
| Availability | Synthesia: Enterprise plans. HeyGen: paid plans | GetReelCom: every plan, including free |

The details per tool are in [AI video tools for B2B marketing](/compare/ai-video-tools-for-b2b-marketing/).

## Cost and time

Setting up the brand costs nothing, because editing text is free. An avatar or a venue image costs 1 credit. A team of three people and one venue therefore costs 4 credits.

The setup is quick when your website was read first, since most fields are prefilled. After that, each ten-second scene costs 11 credits, and each frame redraw costs 1.

## Common mistakes

- **Expecting the logo in the scene.** Generated scenes contain no logo. Plan an overlay or an end card.
- **Writing values instead of visuals.** "Innovative and warm" draws nothing. "Oak desks, green plants, navy polos" does.
- **Regenerating avatars.** A new avatar is a new face, so later videos no longer match earlier ones.
- **Approving a frame with the wrong colours.** The video copies the frame. Redraw first.
- **Mixing brands in one project.** Each project has one Brand tab. Use one project per brand.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I make an AI video match my brand colours?

Set your Primary, Secondary and Accent colours on the Brand tab, and check them in the still frame. GetReelCom reads the colours from your website, and you can correct each hex code. Generated scenes follow the palette, but light and materials shift exact shades.

### Can AI video show my logo correctly?

Not reliably, so GetReelCom does not try. Generated images distort logos and misspell small text. GetReelCom therefore keeps both out of its scenes. Add your logo as an overlay or an end card in your own editor, where the file is placed exactly.

### How do I keep the same look across a series of AI videos?

Reuse the same inputs. In GetReelCom the brand colours, the avatars and the venues are saved per project, and every video starts from them. Generate each avatar once, set scenes in the same venue, and keep clothing in the characters' Always rules.

### How do I set the tone of voice for AI video narration?

Through the text you save. GetReelCom has no separate tone field. The tone comes from your Short and Long description, your Brand values, each audience's Language style and each character's Always and Never rules. You can also edit every narration by hand.

### Can I manage several brands in one account?

Yes. Each project has its own Brand tab, cast and venues, so settings never leak between brands. Create one project per brand. Credits are shared across the account.
