Image URL problems
If a link points to a web page instead of the image file, nothing can be drawn from it. Re-copy it with "Copy image address". Small or blurry photos still work but give the model less to go on.
What happens if an image URL does not work?
When the link does not point to an image file, GetReelCom cannot fetch a reference from it, so the avatar or venue image cannot be drawn from that photo. The rest of the character or venue is unaffected; the text fields still work.
My image URL does not work. What should I do?
Check that the link goes straight to the image file, not to a web page that shows it.
- Paste the link into a new browser tab. You should see only the image, nothing else.
- If you see a page instead, go back to it, right-click the image itself and choose Copy image address (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) or Copy Image Link (Safari).
- Paste the new link into the field. It saves as you type.
Links from Google Drive or OneDrive only work when the file is shared publicly and the link is the file’s own address. Images behind a login are never reachable.
What happens if an image is too small or unclear?
There is no minimum size. A small or blurry photo is still used as the basis for the avatar or setting, but it gives the model less to work with: specific features cannot be found in a vague picture, so the result may match the real person or place less closely. Use the largest, sharpest photo you have, ideally a well-lit picture where the face or the space fills most of the frame.
What if there is no image online?
Leave Photo URL empty and write a precise Description; GetReelCom invents a face or a setting from it. Or upload the photo to Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, share it publicly and paste the file’s link. See Add an image URL.
