How credits work
Every plan is a pool of credits. A frame costs 1, a ten-second video 10, an avatar or venue image 1; text and downloads are free. Credits are held while a generation runs, charged on success, released on failure.
How does the credit system work?
Every plan gives you a pool of credits, shared across all your projects; the balance in the top bar is the same everywhere. Each generation has a fixed price. Credits are held while a generation runs, charged only when it succeeds, and released when it fails.
Which actions use credits?
- Drawing or redrawing a preview frame: 1 credit each time.
- Making the ten-second video from an approved frame: 10 credits.
- Generating or regenerating a character avatar: 1 credit.
- Rendering a venue’s image (Create & generate): 1 credit.
One finished video is therefore 11 credits. Reading your website, editing any text, adding products, audiences, venues or characters, choosing cast and settings on the New video screen, and downloading never use credits.
Does generating a script use credits?
No. Writing, editing or requesting Suggest a video is free. Credits are spent when you draw the frame from the text.
Does creating a preview frame use credits?
Yes, 1 credit each time you draw or redraw it.
Does creating an avatar use credits?
Yes, 1 credit each time you generate or regenerate one, including the avatars drawn automatically during a website import.
Does generating a video use credits?
Yes, 10 credits to make the ten-second clip from an approved frame, on top of the frame’s 1 credit.
Does regenerating content use credits?
Yes, at the same price as the first time: a frame redraw is 1 credit, an avatar regeneration is 1 credit. A failed generation is never charged.
What happens when I run out of credits?
Nothing breaks. Your projects, cast and finished videos stay where they are. When a generation needs more credits than you have, a Not enough credits dialog shows the plans; your video is saved, and you carry on once you have more credits, next month or on a higher plan. On the one-time Free plan, running out means moving to a paid plan to generate again.
Can I buy additional credits?
Not as a separate top-up today. The ways to more credits are moving to Starter or Studio from the Billing page, or the Agency plan for 200 or more credits, seats or invoicing: download the agency deck on the pricing page or mail [email protected].
Do unused credits expire?
It depends on the plan. The 40 free credits never expire, and what is left of them survives your first paid month. On Starter and Studio, unused credits stay valid for one extra month, so they roll over once, up to one month’s allowance. When a subscription ends, its plan credits expire, while any remaining free credits stay.
