Making a video
Set up a new video
Click "New video" in a project, choose who is in it, and, when your project has more than one saved, which audience, product and venue. Pick Landscape or Portrait, write the scene, and draw the frame.
How do I start a new video?
Click the orange New video button at the top of the left sidebar inside a project.
- Open the project you want to make a video for.
- Click New video.
Nothing costs credits until you draw the preview frame.
Which settings can I choose for each video?
For one video you choose: who is in it (one or two characters works best), the audience it speaks to (when more than one is saved), the product or service it is about (one at most, optional), the venue (optional), the format (Landscape 16:9 or Portrait 9:16), an optional name, what should happen in the scene, and an optional line of narration.

How do I choose which characters appear in the video?
Under Who is in it?, click each character card you want in the scene. Selected cards show a highlighted border; click again to deselect. One or two works best.
How do I choose the venue for my video?
When the project has more than one venue saved, a Where does it take place? picker appears. Click the venue you want. Click the selected venue again to let your written description decide the setting instead. With one venue or none, the picker does not appear and the primary venue, or the description, is used.
How do I choose which products or services are used?
When the project has more than one product or service saved, a Which product or service is it about? picker appears. Click one, or leave it unselected for a video about the brand in general. With one product saved, the picker does not appear and the video is about the primary product.
Can I select multiple characters?
Yes. Clicking more than one character keeps all of them selected. One or two works best; a third is possible but harder to compose in ten seconds.
Can I select multiple products or services?
No. A video is about one product or service at most.
Can I change a character, venue, product, or service after making my selection?
Before the frame is drawn, yes: click a different option. Once the frame exists, the cast, setting and product are part of it. To change them, create a new video.
Changing a selection is free. Drawing a frame after a change costs 1 credit.
What happens if I do not select any specific elements?
The video falls back to the project’s defaults: the primary audience, the brand in general (no specific product), and a setting decided by your description when no venue is chosen. Selecting nobody under Who is in it? is allowed; the scene is then drawn from the description alone.
How do my selections affect the generated script?
The selected characters, audience, product and venue all feed the writing: dialogue and behaviour follow the characters’ Always and Never rules, the tone follows the audience’s problem and language style, the message follows the product’s benefits, and the look follows the venue.
Can every video have different settings?
Yes. Every video is generated independently from whatever you pick for it, so videos in the same project can use entirely different combinations. Each finished video costs 11 credits.
What is the difference between the Director’s Guide and video-specific settings?
Your Director’s Guide (Brand, Products, Audience, Characters, Venues) applies to the whole project and is reused by default. Video-specific settings are the choices on the New video screen for one clip: which saved audience, product, venue and characters, the format, and the scene and narration text. See What is your Director’s Guide?.
