HeyGen alternative for company videos
HeyGen puts a digital version of you on camera and can script a video from a URL. GetReelCom turns your website into animated scenes with your brand and a consistent cast. A presenter versus a company video.
Side by side
| Criterion | GetReelCom | HeyGen |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | B2B marketing teams and founders who need a company, product or explainer video without a studio. | Creators and businesses making talking-head videos with a digital version of themselves. |
| What you start from | Your website address. GetReelCom reads your public pages and drafts your Director's Guide (brand, products, audience, characters, venues) and the script. | A script and an avatar, a prompt with attachments for the Video Agent, or any URL with URL to Video, which writes and narrates an avatar video from the page. |
| What comes out | Cinematic 3D animated scenes of ten seconds, landscape 16:9 or portrait 9:16. You approve a 2K still frame before the video is generated. | Presenter videos with stock or generated b-roll, in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16. 1080p on free, 4K from Pro. |
| Cast consistency | Characters built from real photos keep the same face scene after scene. | Avatar IV from one photo; Avatar V, a persistent identity from a 15-second video. One custom video avatar on the free plan. |
| Brand kit | Colours, logo, style reference and language applied to every scene, on every plan including free. | Brand System (logos, colours, fonts, media) on all paid plans, chosen per project. |
| Voice-over and captions | Voice-over narration inside the clip and burned-in captions. | AI voices in 175+ languages, voice cloning from Creator, automatic subtitles. |
| Clip length | Ten seconds per scene. A 30-second company video is three scenes, downloaded separately and cut together in your editor. | Up to 1 minute per video on free, 30 minutes on Creator and Pro, 60 on Business. |
| Free tier | 40 credits once, no card, and they never expire: enough for a first 30-second video, which carries a GetReelCom watermark. | Free plan, no card: 3 videos a month of up to 1 minute, with a watermark. |
| Cheapest paid plan | Starter, €29.95 a month: 66 credits, about 2 company videos a month. | Creator, $29 a month: 600 credits, videos up to 30 minutes, watermark removed. |

Who each tool is for
HeyGen is for people who want to be on camera without being on camera: founders, creators, sales teams. You make an avatar of yourself from a photo or a short video, give it a script, and it presents. Its Video Agent and URL to Video features go further and write the script for you from a prompt or a web page, then add b-roll, captions and music.
GetReelCom is for the company video: the piece that shows the company rather than a person presenting it. Your website in, your Director’s Guide and a script drafted, and out come cinematic animated scenes in your colours, with characters built from photos of your team or your customers, ten seconds each, cut together into a 30-second video.
When is HeyGen the better choice?
Pick HeyGen when a person should be the video. A founder update, a personalised outreach clip, a product walkthrough where someone talks you through the screen, a creator’s weekly post: that is a presenter job, and HeyGen’s avatars, voice cloning and 30-minute videos on paid plans are made for it. GetReelCom makes ten-second animated scenes, not talking heads, and is the wrong tool for a five-minute explanation.
When is GetReelCom the better choice?
Pick GetReelCom when the video should look like the brand, not like a presenter, and when consistency across many pieces matters more than one long video. The brand kit is on every plan, including free; on HeyGen the Brand System is on paid plans and chosen per project. A GetReelCom cast is several characters, drawn from real photos, who keep the same face across the launch video, the explainer for a second audience and the portrait version for Instagram. And the output is animation, which sidesteps the question every avatar video raises: is that person real?
Both read a URL, so what is the difference?
HeyGen’s URL to Video reads a page to write a script and then has an avatar present it with stock or generated b-roll. GetReelCom reads your website to build your Director’s Guide: the brand colours and logo, the products, the audiences, the people and the places, saved and editable, so every video after the first starts from what the company is rather than from one page. The URL is the front door in both; what is built behind it is different.
What does a company video cost on each?
HeyGen’s free plan gives three videos a month of up to one minute, with a watermark; Creator is $29 a month for 600 credits and videos up to 30 minutes. GetReelCom gives every new account 40 credits with no card, enough for a first 30-second company video with a GetReelCom watermark; a finished scene is 11 credits and Starter is €29.95 a month for about two company videos. If you need one long presenter video a month, HeyGen is the cheaper way to get it. If you need short branded pieces for several audiences, GetReelCom is.
