How to make a company introduction video with AI
A company introduction video tells a stranger who you are, what you do and for whom, in about 30 seconds. With AI you write three short scenes, cast your own colleagues as avatars, and generate it without a film crew.
What a company introduction video must answer
A company introduction video answers three questions for a stranger: who are you, what do you do, and for whom. It runs at the top of a homepage, on a LinkedIn page and at the start of a pitch. A good one meets five criteria.
- It names the customer. “We help installers” is clearer than “we help businesses”.
- It shows real people. A recognisable colleague makes the company feel real.
- It shows a real place. Your office, workshop or shop floor anchors the story.
- It makes one claim. One concrete sentence beats a montage of values.
- It ends with a next step. The viewer knows what to do after watching.
An introduction video is not an explainer and not a product video. The three differ in their subject.
| Video | Its subject | It answers |
|---|---|---|
| Company introduction | Your company | Who are you, and why should I trust you? |
| Explainer | The viewer’s problem | Why does this problem matter, and what solves it? |
| Product video | One product | What does this product do for me? |
A 30-second script outline
Thirty seconds is enough for an introduction, and it fits three ten-second scenes. Each scene has one job and about 25 spoken words.
| Scene | Its job | What is on screen | Narration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. Who and for whom | Name the company and its customer | A colleague at your venue, greeting the viewer | About 25 words |
| 2. What you do | Show the work, or the product in use | The same colleague with a customer or the product | About 25 words |
| 3. Proof and next step | Give one reason to believe, then one action | The team, or the customer’s result | About 25 words |
The outline leaves things out on purpose. History, the full product range and the list of values belong on the About page. The introduction video earns the click to that page.
How to make it, step by step
The steps work in any AI video tool. The labels in brackets are where each one happens in GetReelCom.
- Get the company facts right. (Check the Brand tab: Short description, Mission, Brand values and the three brand colours.)
- Choose one or two colleagues to appear, and get their consent. (Add them under Characters as a Team member and click Generate avatar for 1 credit each.)
- Give your main location a photo. (Add a Photo URL to the primary venue.)
- Start the first scene and choose the format. (Click New video, select the characters and the venue, and pick Landscape or Portrait.)
- Draft and edit the text. (Suggest a video writes a scene and a narration from your Director’s Guide. Edit until it says the one thing a stranger should remember.)
- Approve the still, then generate. (Save & draw the frame costs 1 credit and Looks good, make the video costs 10.)
- Repeat for scenes two and three, and cut the three downloads together.
Writing guidance is in Write the scene and narration. The Brand fields are explained in Brand tab, company information.
A worked example
The clip above opens GetReelCom’s own introduction. It does the job of scene one: a host greets the viewer at a recognisable place. The second scene shows the brand, and the third shows the work. All three are on the examples page.
Here is the outline as a finished script. The company is invented.
| Scene | What should happen | Narration |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Eva, a partner, stands at the front desk of the office and looks up with a smile. Morning light falls through the windows behind her. | “We are Acme Accountants. Forty people in Utrecht who keep the books for builders, installers and other companies that work with their hands.” (23 words) |
| 2 | Eva sits beside a client in work clothes. She points at a dashboard on a laptop, and the client nods. | “Every month we turn a shoebox of receipts into numbers you can steer on. One contact, one dashboard, no surprises in April.” (22 words) |
| 3 | The whole team stands in the office doorway. Eva waves the viewer in. | “Three hundred firms already work this way. Meet your own accountant this week, and see your numbers before the month is out.” (22 words) |
The script has 67 spoken words. It names the customer in the first scene, shows the work in the second and ends on one action.
Where it runs, and in which format
The channel decides the format. GetReelCom makes Landscape (16:9) and Portrait (9:16), and the format is fixed once the first frame is drawn.
| Where the video runs | Format | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Homepage or About page | Landscape 16:9 | It fits the width of a page |
| Sales deck or webinar opening | Landscape 16:9 | Slides and screens are wide |
| YouTube | Landscape 16:9 | The standard player is wide |
| Either | Landscape suits desktop; portrait fills a phone screen | |
| Reels, TikTok and Shorts | Portrait 9:16 | These feeds are vertical |
A video in both formats is two separate videos. Decide on the main channel first and make that version. More detail is in How to make a vertical video.
Cost and time
A 30-second introduction costs 33 credits in GetReelCom: three scenes of 11 credits. Two avatars add 2 credits and a venue image adds 1. The total of 36 fits inside the 40 free credits of a new account.
On a paid plan the three scenes cost about €15 on Starter and about €12 on Studio. A second version in the other format costs the same again.
Each frame renders in about 30 seconds and each scene in about a minute. The first video takes longest, because the Brand tab, the avatars and the venue are set up once. Every later video reuses them.
A filmed introduction is a different budget. Dutch price guides put a company film at €3,500 to €15,000. See AI video vs traditional video production.
Common mistakes
- Opening with the founding year. Strangers care about what you do for them. Start with the customer.
- Trying to say everything. Seventy-five words hold three points. Choose them.
- Using a generic office. A scene in your real venue is recognisable. Add a venue photo first.
- Casting without consent. A real colleague’s likeness needs their demonstrable consent. Ask in writing.
- Making one video for all audiences. Investors, customers and job candidates need different introductions. Make one per audience.
Frequently asked questions
How long should a company introduction video be?
About 30 seconds for a homepage or a social feed. That is three ten-second scenes and roughly 75 spoken words. In Wyzowl’s 2026 survey, 71% of people said videos between 30 seconds and two minutes work best. Go longer only when every extra scene adds a new point.
What should a company introduction video include?
Three things: who you are and for whom, what you do, and one reason to believe you, followed by a next step. Show a real colleague and a real place. Leave history, the full product range and the values list for the About page.
Can AI make a company introduction video from my website?
Yes. GetReelCom reads your public pages and drafts your Director’s Guide: brand, products, audience, characters and venues. Suggest a video then writes a scene and narration from it. You review the draft and the still frame before anything is generated. See How to turn your company website into a video.
Can real colleagues appear in an AI company introduction video?
Yes, as avatars. With a colleague’s consent, you add their name, role and a photo, and GetReelCom draws one avatar that is reused in every scene. The avatar is a stylised 3D portrait, not a recording. See How to put real employees in an AI video.
How much does an AI company introduction video cost?
In GetReelCom a 30-second introduction costs 33 credits, plus 1 credit per avatar or venue image. A new account has 40 free credits, so the first one costs nothing. After that it is about €12 to €15 on a paid plan.
