Add an image URL

An image URL is a direct link to one image file, ending in .jpg or .png, not a web page. Right-click the image, choose "Copy image address", and paste it into a Photo URL, Logo URL or Style reference URL field.

What is an image URL?

An image URL is a direct web link to one image file, typically ending in .jpg, .png or .webp. GetReelCom uses it as a real reference picture for a product, a venue, a person or your logo. A link to a web page that shows the image is not an image URL.

Why are image URLs important in GetReelCom?

They let GetReelCom base its visuals on something real instead of inventing it from text: a product photo keeps the product’s real appearance, a venue photo becomes a stylised version of your real location, and a person’s photo becomes an avatar that looks like them.

Adding a link is free. Rendering from it (an avatar or a venue image) costs 1 credit.

How do I add an image URL?

  1. Open the image in your browser, or find it on a web page.
  2. Right-click the image itself and choose Copy image address (Chrome, Edge, Firefox) or Copy Image Link (Safari).
  3. Paste the link into the Photo URL, Logo URL or Style reference URL field in GetReelCom.

A correct link opens the bare image when pasted into a new browser tab, with nothing else around it.

The Photo URL field on a character form, with the hint: a real photo of this person, which we turn into an avatar; leave empty to invent one from the description.
Every Photo URL field wants a direct link to the image file.

Where can I find the correct image URL for my product?

On your own website, your product listing, or wherever the image is already published. Copy the image’s own address, not the address of the page it sits on.

Can I use an image from my company website?

Yes, as long as you copy the direct image address and you have the rights to use the image.

How do I add image URLs for products, venues and characters?

The same way in each tab. Each form has one Photo URL field:

  • Products: Edit the product, paste the link into Photo URL. It is a photo or render of the product, shown on the card and used when the product appears in a scene.
  • Venues: Edit the venue, paste into Photo URL. A real photo of the place, which GetReelCom turns into a stylised setting.
  • Characters: Edit the character, paste into Photo URL. A real photo of the person, which GetReelCom turns into an avatar.

The Brand tab has Logo URL for your logo and Style reference URL for an image whose look every video should match.

Can I add multiple images for one product, venue, or character?

No. Each product, venue and character has one Photo URL field. Pick the single clearest image.

Can I replace an image URL later?

Yes. Clear the field and paste a new link; it saves as you type. Regenerating a character’s avatar or a venue image from the new photo costs 1 credit.

How do image URLs help generated visuals look like my real company?

They give the AI a reference to match instead of a description to guess from. Real photos are the difference between “a person in an office” and your colleague in your office.

What rights do I need for images that I add?

You must own the image or hold a licence that allows this use, and any identifiable person in it must have given valid, demonstrable consent. The Terms of Service make you responsible for this; GetReelCom does not verify it for you.
