Making a video
Generate the video
Once you approve the preview frame, "Looks good, make the video" renders the ten-second clip from it in about a minute, for 10 credits. A finished video cannot be edited or re-rolled; a failed one costs nothing.
When can I generate the video?
As soon as you are happy with the preview frame for that video.
- Open the video from the project’s Videos list. Its status reads review frame.
- Under Happy with this frame?, click Looks good, make the video · 10 credits.
- The status changes to rendering video. You can leave the page; the job continues.
Which information does GetReelCom use to create the video?
The approved frame, the same What should happen? and narration text, the selected characters, venue and product, and the format you chose.
How are the script and preview frame combined?
The approved still is the visual starting point. The written scene drives the motion and the narration becomes the voice-over, so the video starts from exactly the picture you approved: its people, setting and framing carry through.
How long does video generation take?
About a minute, shown on the video page while it renders. The frame before it takes about 30 seconds. Both run in the background, so you can leave and come back.
How many credits does video generation use?
Ten credits for the ten-second clip, on top of the 1 credit already spent on the frame: 11 credits for one finished video. The number is on the button.
Can I generate the video again?
Not as a re-roll of the same finished video. Videos are generated once; to change any of this, create a new video. A new video costs the full 11 credits again.
Can I change only part of the video?
No. A finished video is generated once from its approved frame and text, so any change means a new video. The place to change details is the frame, before the video exists, where redraws cost 1 credit each.
What happens if video generation fails?
You are not charged. Credits are held while a generation runs, charged when it succeeds and released when it fails. The video page then says “The video could not be generated. Your frame is safe — try making the video again”, and the same button tries again from where it stopped.
How does GetReelCom check the quality of the generated video?
There is no automated quality check of the finished clip. The quality control is you, at the frame stage: nothing is animated until you approve the still.
What should I review before downloading the video?
Watch the whole clip. Check the characters, the setting, the product, the on-screen action and the narration, because a finished video cannot be edited, only replaced by a new one. You are responsible for what you publish.
